Sixty years ago, American Bedding Company (then called Gainesville Mattress
Company) began manufacturing mattresses in Gainesville, GA. Our president Thomas
Mundy bought Gainesville Mattress Company in 1910. He has brought it a long way
since its humble beginnings. Even though we have made many technological advancements, we still remain a very personal and “hands-on” manufacturer dedicated to making the finest mattress and foundation products available today.

American Bedding has a 60,000 square foot production facility. New advances in production machinery such as computerized quilting machines, automatic cutting and bagging machines have not only allowed the production of a quality, diversified line of bedding, but have also made production more efficient.

American Bedding Company products are manufactured to order. By utilizing this
production technique, American Bedding is able to satisfy our customer’s need for prompt shipment. The friendly, professional customer service department is dedicated to
providing the highest level of support to each and every customer. The experienced sales
staff is highly educated and continually strives to provide quality information to retailers
that will enable them to better understand and market American Bedding products.

At the 2004 Tupelo Furniture Market, we proudly introduced our new high end bedding program: Sterling and Thomas. All of the beds in this program are foam encased and utilize the same box spring. Several of the beds have Visco-elastic memory foam.
Our overall Visco program has fueled the company’s growth over the last several years.
